Now recruiting: Game on! Join the team at St John SA
St John SA has been caring for the South Australian community for over 135 years through the provision of first aid care, products and related services. We even ran the state ambulance service before it transitioned to SA Ambulance Service in 1992.
Today you will see St John volunteers out in their iconic green uniforms at various events across the state. From AFL football matches and live stadium concerts to school sports days and local farmers’ markets, St John covers it all. When you join our team of lifesaving volunteers, you too will get the opportunity to experience what it means to really support the South Australian community. With comprehensive and ongoing first aid training provided, as well as first-hand clinical experience at events, you will have the opportunity to learn from the best and put your knowledge to work helping those who need it most.

If clinical work isn’t for you, you could consider becoming a Community Care volunteer. Our Community Care program provides support and companionship to the elderly and those at risk of social isolation through our volunteer program. Clients and volunteers are matched on a one-to-one basis, taking into account shared interests and goals. The program centres its activities around wellness and reablement, allowing clients to retain independence and continue to lead their lives in a way that is meaningful to them.
